I'm still loading a forum topic, 10 minutes later. Tried to add a reply, but quickly got a database connection error. Seems to be more than DNS trouble.

Glad it's back, though! I wonder if the new name should stick around? I mean, what were we gonna do when OS X becomes OS XI or OS 11? Call it "tradition" like 20th Century Fox?

now even my powerbook with 10.4.2 acts strange (it takes minutes to boot it up, even though i use applejack, onyx, repair permissons, zapped pram, etc .. )

or my new ipod: when i connect it to my mac(s) the ipod symbol appears in the finder for some seconds, then it dissapears. even the copying of songs from itunes to the ipod sometimes work and sometimes doesnt.
then there´s my airport extreme, which sucks now and then again cause it simply doesnt work which means that i have to take care of.
(by the way, it took a real mac specialist 45 minutes to set it up. i needed him cause i didnt manage to configure it myself. not even the internet could help me after some research, and i am by no means a newbie.)

add all this .. and then even an optimist like me can get frustrated.

yes, i dont like myself in this as well ..

but why does this happen to U?
when i installed my airport extreme it practically set itself up. i couldn't believe how easy it was. in no way do i mean to demean U. U have been in this a long time and are FAR from being a noob.

i dont know .. maybe its indeed some bad karma i have towards computers.
all i can do is to compare the past of my musicmaking on a mac with the current situation. (which i am in since 1,5 years, since the switch to osX).

anyway, i have enough reason to get angry about these things, as i paid a lot and have to make my living from these technological things.
further on nothing seems to help, so i am somewhat stuck.
(therefor i hope to go the ableton way in the future, cause i am not sure if i´ll ever make my peace with logic and its terrible plugin-implementation again .. which is still something i hope to see.)
