i think we should all know the exact specific differences between exporting a project versus an edit

Perhaps Export Project will export the whole project and Export Edit will export a single edit within a project, d'you think?

Yeah, I'm not sure I understand the confusion. A project can have multiple edits as well as audio files not associated with any edit. So exporting the project exports all of that. Exporting an edit only exports the edit and adio files associated with that particular edit.

Well yes but the key to remember is that a project can have any number of edits and audio files associated with some all or none of those edits. Exporting the project exports all of those at once in one large archive.
