Good question!
I had a look at the Tranzport forum, and the administrator CharlieH said 2005-07-10 the following:
"TranzPort for Live and Tracktion? There is one thing that I would like to note about both Ableton Live and Mackie Tracktion: currently only their in-house developers can add support for an external controller. There is no third-party development kit available that would let us write a TranzPort plug-in for these great programs. It could never hurt to politely let these companies know why you would like to see built-in support for TranzPort."
So, I hereby would like to ask Beno/Mackie/whoever to give built-in support for TranzPort!
Note: I have no connection with Frontier whatsoever. I just want a nice product to work with T2, I think the Tranzport could really speed up things in my setup. As SOS Paul White said: "There are very few 'must have' studio accessories at the moment, but if your studio is based around a computer, this has to be one of them!"

I'd like to echo this remark. I've been eyeing this very same unit since it came out. Would be nice to see it work with T2.klagga wrote: So, I hereby would like to ask Beno/Mackie/whoever to give built-in support for TranzPort!![]()

I'll throw my vote in as well - if it worked with T2 I'd buy it in a second!

I already own a Tranzport that I use with Pro Tools LE. I works great! It’s one of those “I can’t believe we never had a product like this before” items! Simple, yet very effective. The Tranzport has become an indispensable tool in my studio.
If I could use the Tranzport with Tracktion, I'd would take a long hard look at dumping Pro Tools completely, even though I have been a dedicated Pro Tools user for 4 years - simpler transfers to other studios would be the only real drawback to losing it since EVERY major studio has Pro Tools.
Here is my main concern: The fact that Tracktion currently does not support the Tranzport will make it very difficult to get many people chiming in to say they really want it – I guess only those who are still using Tracktion with some other recording app and have already purchased a Tranzport will really get behind it.
Anyway, here’s my official vote for Tranzport support in Tracktion v 2.0.1.14+. And I’ll be glad to help test it out and provide useful feedback if it will speed things up.

Looks very useful, but I HATE that name. It's like "doodz, 1 sc0r3d diz 7337 tranzport". Hate that name...
