Hey All, just wanted to let you know that Registered Traction2 users can find a new Beta release of the FinalMix mastering plug-in in your my.mackie.com account. This is an update to the FinalMix plug-in that should fix rendering issues experienced by some of you in this thread with the previous version. It is currently still in the beta stage although we have found no known issues at this point. A final version will be included in the installer of a future Tracktion2 update. To use, simply download and expand the appropriate zip file, and then replace the existing FinalMix plugin with the newer version. On the Mac, replace FinalMix.vst which can be found at
\Library\Audio\Plug-Ins\VST\Mackie Plug-ins\
and on the PC, replace FinalMix.dll which by default can be found at
C:\Program Files\Tracktion2\plugins\Mackie Plug-ins\.

Hi Beno - thanks for the fix in FinalMix! I just registered T2 a couple of days ago and am a new guy (I'll probably say this 1 or 2 more times then drop it!).
I'm sure this can't be the first time this was brought up - I'd like to be able to use the VST FinalMix in my Sonar4 host also while I'm learning and making the leap to T2 - is there a way you folks can let me do that? I'd sure appreciate it - I also saw a more expensive $$$ plug available for me to buy at the Mackie site - haha that's not really an option. I have other hosts that have cool plugs - some allow them to be used in other hosts, some don't. So I'm not saying you guys are evil if you don't allow it - but I would say you would be very kind if you did! Since it is already VST I thought it might be fairly easy...

Currently our marketing and engineering decision is to only allow the Mackie Plug-ins to operate in Tracktion, but we appreciate your feedback on the matter. Also, the version of Final Mix for sale on our website is not for VST, it is for our d8b mixer and will also not work in Sonar or Tracktion for that matter, so don't buy it (unless you own a d8b).

Thanks Beno - fair enough. It could possibly just create support issues then, or increase sales - could go either way! Glad to be here and learning T2 in any event!
