Imo the best and most real sounding (and very versatile and also low on the cpu) reverb is TK Dato Reverb - too bad that it isn't developed anymore as it is somewhat buggy - it's very very inexpensive as well b.t.w.

Now my favorite reverb (vst and not convo) is AAR - Arts Acoustic Reverb - For me it stands above other software reverbs
very versatile, great sound, not hard on the cpu, no latency
Convolution is lovely sounding, but problematic if you want to tweak it just so for a specific use. Then I get frustrated with it, and do not enjoy looking all around to get piles of IR's and then keeping track of what sounds like what. So actually, much of the time I find myself not using it.

Carnegie Hall, or maybe the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden?jv2222 wrote:Hi,
What is the best most real sounding reverb that can be used with Tracktion 2?
Cost is not an issue. I just want the best.
Cheers,

Now i tried some of the suggestions like Glaceverb, Datoreverb and i'm not at all impressed.
It must be a bad joke, calling these best sounding or even decent sounding reverbs...

Datoreverb needs some tweaking - if you click on 'tank structure' you can alter its sound drastically - it's almost like changing the algorithm - it is highly flexible so that you are able to create exactly the reverb you wish for.

(it's a very modern approach at reverberation developed by Jon Dattorro at Stanford University)

I would recomend this one:
http://www.ariescode.com/
That is one of my favourites and does´nt have it´s own gui but the sound
+ it is also ultra low on your cpu

I tried to put in an order, but UPS refused to ship them.james0tucson wrote:Carnegie Hall, or maybe the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden?
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!
