I think you want that einstein guy from the office 97 helper app -
and he could point out how to write you song better, where you need counterpoint and would point out to you whether you're infringing on any copyrights in the song you're using (integrate with DCMA-inchip stuff to scan samples and match to online databases).

Yes, that would be a big help. Either that, or Clippy could appear and warn you if you're about to write a chord progression that sounds too much like Bye Bye Miss American Pie, or some such. :D

Oops- if I try to copy a clip the Automation is NOT copied with the clip. That was a big point in the music magazines these months.

Or did you find another - hidden- technique?

You can copy the automation curve by putting in/out markers around the section you want to copy, clicking on it and then choosing copy the curve between the markers.
This option is in the lower left area if I remember right.
Then you can paste it elsewhere.

If "eager puppy" is short for "eager pin-up pretty" I'll +1 it.

I'd love to see the ability to play the top layer only of stacked tracks. When I do drag & drop edits in Sonar, I have the option to "replace old with new". It would be a time saver to not have to create a hole in a track where a copied clip portion is going to go.
