In my opinion, there's no reason to buy Nuendo if your a musician. I won't go into comparaisons here, but as you can see, most of these features are only usefull in post prod/scoring studios. Remove these functions and you get SX... which was created for musicians.eyeknow666 wrote:I really do appreciate the post. I was not aware of a couple of things.
Let me then re-define the question......
How useful is that to the home studio........or even pro studio unless you are a big time movie editor? I'm guessing that it won't run properly on a regular pc with those specs........
So (and again it's question not a put down) how does it compare to all these other products like sonar/protools (le/mpowered) live, etc??
Concerning how Nuendo runs on a regular PC, it depends what you mean by "regular PC" ; but it's ok to run it on a modern single CPU machine with a decent audio I/O.

You probably work in a brightly lit room with a bright windows theme. I work in a very dark room with a very dark windows theme so that I can see images better to colour correct them properly. That just ain't possible when the image you're working on is surrounded by bright colours so it crosses oveer to all my other work as well.Kriminal wrote:Dunno how you use that, way too dark for me.

i don't see the need to replicate the mixer view anymore now i've become so accustomed to tracktion. i'm pretty handy on a real mixer, but the way tracktion works for me is ideal, and i just love having access to all the things at once no matter what. why do i need to see them all in a row? i can see what they're doing just fine. top stuff. here are a few of my favourite schemes for it...
