2:1 lossless-edits: is it really lossless?

Is 2:1 lossless edit exports really lossless? ive been nervous to export projects like that. I think it's my third time asking but I want to be sure that it's completely safe.

crumbs it's odd that people worry isn't it! 
if it says lossless then it's lossless. and if you do a little reading up on FLAC then you'll be reassured i'm sure.
