For your sake I hope they are making a mistake there too. That is totally wrong.aMUSEd wrote:Yes by rights that should be the case. At the moment they seem to be saying I used my Reaktor license to register/purchase Komplete, but because Komplete contained an upgrade to Kontakt which I already had they are subsuming that into the package too - that is grossly unfair. I hope they are just making a mistake here.
Email from NI - this can't be right?

Thanks HinkHink wrote:there's strength in numbers....I bet a few polite emails from other NI users might help as long as they are written with respect....that of course is up to you, and no one should send an email without your consent....maybe even a form email we all send....just a suggestion for "if all else fails" I know I'd be willing to speak up for you, though I only have B4...aMUSEd wrote:Well I've sent another email saying they are mistaken. If I get no joy then I'll phone. At least I know I'm not the one at fault here

Nuts - just got home but no response from NI (apart from an advert for The Kontakt Experience).

1. I did start the thread with the title "What's this crap from NI?" but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and check if anyone else thought I was in the wrong first.flex42 wrote:dude, you should do it like ttoz...

I've just checked my registrations at NI and noticed that my registration for Kontakt is no longer there. Does this mean they have now agreed the license transfer and removed mine so the other party can register but not told me or what?

Here's to hoping so. It sounds about right, though.

OK it's official now - they have emailed the buyer transferring ownership to him. It would have been nice if they'd written to me too to at least let me know let alone say they were wrong but at least it's done and that's the main thing.

I am following this because I am in exactly the opposite position...I bought Komplete 2 second-hand a few weeks back and still haven't heard from NI. I am confident that the seller informed them.

Well it took 4 messages from me to get through to them and this isn't the first time they have been unresponsive but they do seem to get there in the end - hope they get back to you soon

Glad you got it sorted. I was expecting a few replies like this:
'I don't know how anyone can knock NI! They give us all these lovely synths 'n things and still people aren't satisfied. The other day I got run over by a Ford motor car but did I complain? No! Ford have given us all these lovely cars and the driver was a synth developer so I felt grateful that I didn't die instead of being very badly injured. I just picked myself up and carried on.'

I find with N.I. they are far more responsive to the buyer than the seller. When I have bought plugs and emailed them they have responsed very quickly but when I have sold plugs they have normally taken a few days and a couple of emails - don't know why but that tends to be my experience.
