yeah i want this one.
a lot of the time i pretend that i can play epiano like a smooth jazzfunktionist, only i do it with the track muted as i record along to my project, as i know that i've not got a hope in hell of hitting the right notes. i get some great timing placements tho, and all it takes is some time sliding the notes up and down til they sound sweet! at the moment, shift doesn't help, the only thing i can do is begin the click-drag, but before i move it (and AFTER i've clicked it) i hold CTRL, which removes snap. that at least means that it's not going to just jump to the nearest bar line, but it also means that it's free to roam anyold horizontal place.
lets have shift-h-locking for notes!

workaround for me is........
select note i want to chaing key of, hold down Ctrl & use the up down arrow keys to move it
also using the Alt key & the arrow keys will let you jump notes

really? i'll have to try that to find out. however when using CTRL for dragging, you have to consciously be careful as to WHEN you press it- if you press CTRL BEFORE you click, you'll copy the note and drag a copy around. if you do it AFTER you click, you'll disable the snap. it's not as complex as it sounds, but when you're moving around a LOT of notes one after the other, that makes it much more likely that you get the order wrong at some stage!
thanks a lot for the tips mr subjz0rsz!
