Anyone having problems with the IK plug ins look at the Mackie forum topic Sampletank. There is a reply from an IK rep

Not entirely true, or entirely the same. You are a customer of mackie, not IK, although you bought their product. It could for instance have been Mackies fault, duplicating identical serials, while IK get's the blame. So, Mackie should solve this problem, not IK. I'm not saying that's what happened, a crappy serial check could cause this, but it would still have to be Mackie who'd solve the problem for you. After all, they got your money. The problem here is that IK Multimedia won't see this as a crime against you where you are the victim and they are an accessory due to negligence.... If a grocery store forgot to lock the door, and someone walked in and poisoned the meat, do you think the store would find it easy to waive all responsibility? That's basically what's happened to you.
