Absynth 3.02 and Tracktion 2 bug

When I load Absynth 3 as a filter the screen flashes a little box (I assume it's trying to draw the GUI for the plug-in) and disappears. I can't access any of the plug-in features. I run an iMac G5/10.3.9/1G RAM/Keystation 88 and a Yamaha i88x.

Any ideas when this is going to be fixed? Native Instruments says it's Tracktion's problem.

Thanks.

I just tried the demo(only 3.0.1) in 10.4.2 and it worked fine. I also have Absynth 2 and it has always worked in 10.3 and 10.4. So is anyone else having problems with Absynth 3.0.2 in the latest version of Tracktion2?

The versions I'm using is the demo of Tracktion 2, Absynth 3.0.2 and OSX 10.3.9 for reference. All my other plugs work fine except Absynth. Weird...

Thanks...

I've got Absynth 3.0.2 and it runs just fine in T2 on my machine (Toshiba PC running XP). I use it often actually. Perhaps it is a Mac issue? Hope you find the solution. Best of luck.

Yes, but that doesn't matter. I've tried it several ways and get the same result. I've deleted and re-installed T2 three or four times and Absynth twice. Tried the old version of Absynth, too. It's got to be Tracktion because the stand-alone version works, it works in Live 4 and 5 and the trial version of Logic Express. I've tried delelting prefs, too. Native Instruments says it's Tracktion, too. I can get sounds out of Absynth but I can't get at anything else. The GUI is gone.

Bummer, eh?

Thanks.

I have similar issues with my G4 powerbook. A3 works fine in stand-alone, but in T2 the gui goes to the bottom of the screen and can't be moved. I'm running 10.3.9 OSX Panther. Very frustrated and annoyed! :help:

I just did some testing with different resolutions to see if that would help... it doesn't. I love everything about this program but if I can't use Absynth then it's not work messing with. I really like the MIDI editor in T2. I also tested having the dock in different locations and that didn't help, either.

I did notice when the screen was minimized, that the border of T2 flashes it's "shadow". I have a feeling that Tracktion is not allowing Absynth's GUI to come to the front.

I'd buy the product if it worked.

That last line was disrespectful. I apologize. It's a great program. I only wish it worked on my machine with Absynth.
