Alright, so I've been using Reason with T, and it had been working well.
But yesterday, I started getting a fairly high track count, and all of a sudden, the weird Rewire bug (the delay thing at the beginning) started to vary. Sometimes it'd be just a few ms, sometimes longer.
Kinda frustrating.
So, my question is, do VSTi's work better in Tracktion, in regards to this issue?
I wouldn't mind using Battery and Kontakt instead of Reason, as all I really use Reason for is piano, strings, and drums more or less, since I am a rock guy, not techno-ish.
I thought I'd ask before I go and upgrade Reason, since I might get Battery/Kontakt instead, if VSTi's are a little more problem-free.
I am really getting into my current band project, and don't have time to mess with stuff like this.
But I will say Tracktion does an excellent job of getting the job done otherwise!

I don't know that I would say VSTis are more problem free - Reason has a good reputation for stability and robustness - a reputation that NI, for example, is notably lacking.I thought I'd ask before I go and upgrade Reason, since I might get Battery/Kontakt instead, if VSTi's are a little more problem-free.
In general though, VSTis are easier to use in Tracktion, and if/when things do go squiffy, you would typically have a few more workarounds available.

Reason is very stable, and so is Tracktion. It just seems that Rewire is an imperfect technology, and that's why I am looking for an alternative.valley wrote:Yes.polaris20 wrote: So, my question is, do VSTi's work better in Tracktion, in regards to this issue?

I guess the workaround is rendering each Reason track, then importing into Tracktion, but that's kind of a pain in the ass.
