Well, I asked once, but didn't sort out how to manage this issue.
It's flaw that just unecessary complicate things.
So, whenever I create new project and start recording tracks, Tracktion put wav. files to directory upon its own choice (first not on HDD I would choose).
Now, when I have many open projects I would prefer to have possibility to force Tracktion to put all tracks to directory of my choice.
I didn't find how to do it in manuals, by intuition, based on experience and even surfing this forum thouroughly.
Is it bug, flaw or something that simply does not work (if so, I must admit it's very stupid)
or am I stupid not to see evident solution (should be simple).

Are you talking about temp files or project files? Either way, you can specify directory of your choice:
1. Temp files will default to some directory or other. Instead, go to the "miscellaneous" section of the settings tab and change it there. If you're wacky enough to do so, you could even have the temp directory inside your current project directory. What a hassle, though.
2. Each time you create a new project, you can specify what directory it will go in...?! I don't think I could make them all go into the root directory by default if I wanted to!!

A 3rd possibility is you're talking about recorded files. I explained how to change this a few posts ago in this thread:

I really couldn't find a reason why recorded files go to C: directory.
You exactly explained how to fix it (should be so in manual by the way), but it's far from being intuitive.
Thanks.

Yeah, I was hoping all this was in the Reference manual but it isn't. We'll get this in the next revision.

Great standpoint and responsiveness.Beno wrote:Yeah, I was hoping all this was in the Reference manual but it isn't. We'll get this in the next revision.

Yet, some things are less obvious, I was spoiled by fact that almost everything in T2 works in the way that I intuitivelly expect.
Good idea to add such 'tips and tricks' to manual.
