OK. l give up! How do I set up my new controller? I have a brand new UC33e which I plan to use mainly with Reason, although Tracktion will come in as a close second. I have had it recognised by Reason, and preset 2 has been rewritten. However I wanted to set up several presets for Reason devices, along with others for use in Tracktion. I have tried to use Enigma (from evolution.co.uk) and the library has sections for Redrum, NN-XT, Tau Pro and CM101 to name a few. How should I proceed? How can I make sure the signals from the Oxygen 8 don't confuse everything? How can I stop being so dumb?

Thanks ... I think!

Im not sure what your problem is to be honest.. what's not working?

maybe you should learn a bit about "midi" ?

and read the manual of the UC33.

That should help.

I have both controllers, but I'm lazy and just let the applications handle the mapping. If you have Reason 3, it has native support for both controllers. For Tracktion, I just use the default mapping (that is loaded on powerup) and map T2 to that.

But then, I'm lazy.

The only thing I could figure out was getting faders and knobs on my UC-33 to work with T2. I tried the instructions in the sticky for using midi-ox and midi yoke, but I couldn't get it to work for the life of me. I have a Nostromo, so I've been using that for transport functions. I don't have the time or the patience to sit down and try to figure out this long work around. I'm a little disapointed that the transport controllers aren't as easy to map as volume and pan controls are.

Yeah, I gave up on that myself.

When II fire up T2 all I see are the 2 Mackie controllers (in the settings panel), although the UC33 appears in the drop downs. Should the UC33 appear in the "big box"?

OK, T2 doesn't support the UC33 (or any other controllers) in this way. You have to set up the controller per edit (in the edit view). You'll want to make a template edit to open each time you start a new song. kind of sucks but it's all we've got right now.
