One PITA of ReWire is keeping track of what rewired files belong with what edit. It would be nice to have the option to launch a user-assigned file from the Rewire dialog instead of launch the host directly (as some hosts don't launch this way anyway). This would have the effect of launching the host and loading the associated file.

that is a fantastic idea braj! cos it also eliminates the fact that some rewire slaves don't respond to the launch request.

yea as far as i can tell. ableton doesnt launch when the button is pressed, either does Fl studio and melodyne

acid, and reason work fine tho.

I would use Tracktion more with Reason if this were possible. I always wondered why nobody did this, it really seems simple to me.

Maybe it's just me, but I keep a 'Reason Slave' folder in every edit that I use Reason and I put my slaved files in there and name them to match ("LetGoSlv001" for instance.)

Good idea though, even if I wouldn't need it.
