Why is the master volume defaulted at -3db? Isn't it better to use 0?

2 tracks hitting 0db will make the master peak if it was set to 0db aswell


but TBH i dont know why its -3db

maby its because jules wanted his babby's babby to be different to all the others ;)

It's obvious. 3 is the number of expression. You mix expressive music, right? Then you'll be wanting the number 3. :D

It's because 3 is the minimum number of data points required to define a 2 dimensional plane.

If you wanted to mix in "3D", it would have to default to 4.

The number is negative three and negative three shall be the number. Should it be negative four, proceed one forward until though hast reached negative three. Should you count to negative two, retreat back one until the number though has reachest is the number negative three.
