Hi @all,

who of you tried MinimogueVA on RECEPTOR and can confirm following bug ?

when using the mod-wheel it affects the main volume.
next, the volume is set to zero.

I contacted the developer: he thinks it must be problem on "my side" as he doesn't see any problems

any idea ? MUSERs ?

Hello!

Now is the time to fix this if it is possible. Here are the controller maps for MinimogueVA:
http://home.no/gunnare/MinimogueVA%20MI ... ollers.txt

Modulation wheel is CC115
Output volume is CC7 as it should be.

If there is anything I can do, I will try to solve it. But I have 3 keyboards, and MinimogueVA works perfectly with all 3 keyboards. I am changing a lot of midi-controllers this week for version 1,5. I have read manuals for Oszonic, Oxygene8 , KeystationPro88, Edirol PCR30 and CME-keyboards. There is no standard. Sigh! Most of them dont even print the CC controllers in the start-up patch. So I make it perfect for use with M-audio Ozone sliders. 1. patch: filter and effects. 2. patch: Envelopes.

All the best

If you can record a midi-file from your host, I will analyze it for you.

Just move the mod-wheel. Then play a coulple of notes.

You can send the midifile as an attachment to:

In the MIDI spec, Mod Wheel is CC 1 for coarse control and CC 33 for fine control. Receptor respects these controls because they are very common.

Currently Receptor uses CC 7 to control its own channel volume. CC 115 is used for Master channel mute. Both CC 7 and CC 115 will never get to the plug-in. In the next version of Receptor there will be an option to send all CC's to the plug-in instead of using them for Receptor functions.

Receptor has this very nice feature that allows you to assign any parameter you want to the front panel, in any order you want, and you can even change the parmeter's name if you don't like it. The first 16 parameters assigned to the front panel are controllable by CC 16-31 for coarse control and CC 48-63 for fine control. You could use this feature right now and it shouuld work with no problem. See my recent post about impOSCar parameter control, or read the manual about "Learn Mode" (page 113) and "Reordering Parameters" (page 115).

gunnare, why not use CC 1 for Mod Wheel? As far as I know all MIDI keyboards will use that by default.

Yes I will change that.
Is there something else that you want me to change, that interfere with Receptor?

Thanks for the solution.

exactly ! that's why I'm a little bit irritated and actually don't understand the problem :?
change mod wheel to CC 1 and everything is fine ?!?

One thing that MinimogueVA does right is that it publishes all its parameters and sends a parameter automated message when you move a control. Hard to believe, but many plug-ins don't follow the VST spec in thhis respect. This allows one to assign any parameters to the front panel and control the first 16 via MIDI.

Anyway, it's a very nice plug-in.

I was a little bit fast.
Actually modulation wheel is CC1. CC115 is a mod-wheel level setting inside the synth. One thing I have been wondering is what the mod-wheel of your Trinity actually is sending out. Is it just controller CC1? And is it the Va or LUXUS version? Is it just MinimogueVa that behaves in this way?

I controlled my M-audio Ozone. It just send CC1 from mod wheel.

Investigating!

Tim Conrady has used the plugin in Receptor:
Just wanna say that this is very nice synth and have really enjoyed it! I also got it to work on receptor, so that cool!Keep up the good work!

There is no CC controllers for Mod-wheel. I have investigated, and Modulation-Wheel is filtered out of midi-in and used directly.
