Default settings changing

Occasionally, I open up a project in T2 and it doesn't play. When I go into the settings page, I find the default audio output has changed or, worse still, the default midi.

Another thing which also seems to change for no reason is the setting for hiding the VST interface - which, since I run two monitors, I like to leave unchecked.

I can't find any obvious reason for these default settings to change and I was wondering if anyone else has seen the same sort of thing?
