I haven't a clue what you've done to yourself.
And I'm confused about a few things:
- are you using the Tracktion sampler, or Sampletank?
- are you trying to use Garage Band at the exact same time as Tracktion? Something tells me that the Mac world is different than the PC world, but in the PC world that's not done-- one program has to release the driver before another program can use it.
Also, what's the little keyboard that you're using? I'm sure all the information I need is there (or at least almost all there), but I'm getting a totally blurry picture of what you're trying to do, what parts of the setup you understand, and which parts you are unsure of. I don't want to start telling you very basic stuff because if you already know it, the questions and explanations would just be frustrating to you.

when you press keys on "your little keyboard" dose the green bar for that midi input move?
if not then you have selected the wroung input device or your midi key board is buggerd or your midi input on your pod is buggerd
Subz

like i said once i am a midi retard! i have not learned to do much i found through trail and error how to sort of record thing... but playback is not really great i am just not getting things to play while i record them
any way i have a crappy Yamaha PSR 120 keyboard with midi on it, am running in and out of it through the POD it seems to feed right but monitoring the sounds while i record them is not working.... and the only sound i seem to get to work is piano... so any way as far as i know... i need to have the pod set as the input channel rather than an audio channel and then i need to run it to a midi output ( some little tip popped up and told me that)which i have done... so i did that and i can hear things after i record them through my keys onboard speakers... but what the blue blazes kinda good does that do me? so i guess i may just need a step by step go through of just how Midi works with this stuff, and it seems time to grab the manual back from the jerk who borrowed it
thanks for dealing with a total retard guys

Right: I'm assuming that you wish to use your "crappy" keyboard as just a controller.. in which case, point the MIDI input to a track, insert a synth filter on the track (eg: Sampletank) and route this track to an audio output.
