Learned how to plug my Gibson into the back of the computer Win XP and record acouple of tracks with the Tracktion2 demo version. Bought the total thing. Came in the mail. Fancy box and evrything. Got Amplitube, Innertube, and SampleTank 2 SE all that good stuff.
Here I am confused. TRacktion2 says Sample Tank 2 SE comes with the package and the card I got says it's a 10 day try out. In any case I got things installed OK (I think). I'm a recognized registered user on the SampleTank website, but while trying to use the thing while running TRacktion2 I keep getting the AUTHORIZATION WIZARD SCREENS. I put in my serial number get my authorization code from the user area (change authorization section) punch in the twenty four digit code and it keeps saying "your serial number and your code number and your authorization number don't match. Then I got a new authorization number and tried it again with that new 24 digit code. same problem.
I'm so new it's got to be user error. I emailed SampleTank about it, but I think people get more answers right here because they know how to explain things.
Let me know if you can see where I'm messing up.

If you look up sampletank on the tracktion board at the Mackie site, you'll find a direct person to contact at IK Multimedia.
I also had problems, it was with the registration process of the software. I emailed the contact I found at the Mackie boards. I got same day response and my problem was resolved within that day. I was very impressed with the promptness of their support.
The deal with the 10 day thing is you must register it using the serial number on the card within 10 days after your initial use. This is the only way you'll keep it working. The wizard just leads you through the process so you get assigned a unique authorization number for the software on your machine.
