BR: Problems with MOTU 2408

Most of the time when I lauch Tracktion I get an error report from Tracktion that the MOTU 2408's sample rate was not able to be set at 44.1. So then I have to open the ASIO control panel and close it... Tracktion does some stuff and then it generally works. Sometimes I have to do this a few times. Then after that AND EVERYTIME I LAUCH Tracktion I have to start playback and it will be garbled. Then I have to go back and restart the drivers. Restarting the drivers will only work after I have actually played the garbled audio... So there is no way to just launch restart the drivers and then go to the edit.

Ugh! Is this on a stylish Mac or something we can blame on Windoze?

well, it's ASIO, so you can certainly blame windows.

Rock - do the motu drivers have a "lock sample rate" option? I need to enable that on my M-Audio, otherwise it messes up from time to time.

umm I don't see that in the control panel but I can study the manual and see if it is something I can do with the cryptic front panel controls... thanks Valley

And mandolarian it's a windows thing the MOTU seems to work better with the Mac (Makes sense since MOTU is so Mac oriented)

I have to restart the drivers (after playback) on my machine (windows xp sp1) as well; if not the audio stutters. After I do this everything works fine.

All my other apps work well with the 2408.
