I made an audio motage in Wavelab. Its cool. You can crossfade between song, set the start points, etc. The problem is the CDs burned from the montage arent compatible with some CD players. The first 2 seconds gets cut off. there is an option for "pre roll" in wave lab, but that causes an audio drop out 2 seconds into the track. Again this isnt a problem with all CD players, just the low end stuff and older units.

Is there any software, cheap or free, that will let me burn a CD that has overlaping tracks, and will still burn a CD that works in all machines?

I use this to make cue lists for tracks that blend one to another:

So when you make your cue list, and burn a CD, does it work in any player?

So...if I uderstand this now.......What you do is make a CD With overlaping tracks, Make an ISO from the CD in the above program, then edit the cue sheet? Then burn the disk. After that it will be CD player friendly?

I will try that out.

I can't quite remember, I think I make one big wav file of the whole chunk of music then make a cue sheet and burn with the above app.

I've not had any cd's been rejected.

In Easy CD (Media) Creator, the way to fix this is to pick the "disk at once" burning option. The "track at once" default actually turns the laser off between tracks, whereas disk at once keeps it on. Also make sure the setup for your disk doesn't have any gap time specified.

If you really want total control over the disks you burn, I'd recommend taking at look at Golden Hawk's CDRWIN.

Thanks for all the responces. Those are all useful links.

It seems that the wavelab montage will work if you leave a 2 second space at the begining of the disk, and leave the pregap option off. So far so good.
