Playing around with the demo and tried to active
automation for all parameters of a VST plugin
at once. Couldn't find an way, but since I don't
want to create 15 single automations by hand, is
there a work around?
Thanks, RS

Not sure really what you want to do, but you can always copy the automation curve and paste it to a new track/parameter.
Select the clips on the track you have automated, press M to place the markers at the start/end of the clips, click the automation curve and press "Copy marked region to clipboard". Then you can insert the automation anywhere you want to, just click "paste from clipboard" and choose the option you prefer. Remember that you can always show any automation curve/parameter on any track (even the ones you don´t use for clips).
Realtime automation might be another solution, if you have a midicontrol you could maybe do 2-3 at a time finetuning them afterwards...

Thanks, but that's not what I want. If I want to create an automation
track I have to choose 1 parameter out of the VST effect. If the effect
has 15 parameters, I have to do this 15 times. In Vegas there is a
"Automate all parameters" option and I wondered, if there is in Tracktion.

But after you say "automate all" in vegas you still have to draw the automation one at a time, right? Are you just talking about a fast way to show all the curves for a particular plug-in at once?

Ah, OK. I see what you want now. Good suggestion then.

doing that with something like rhino / z3ta+ / wusikstation would make a right mess though !!!

unless of course it was 'display all ACTIVE automation curves for this filter' ...

Yeah, gotta think if there is a way to implement this and still keep things managable. Even some relatively simple VSTs can have 20 or more parameters without breaking a sweat.pHz wrote:doing that with something like rhino / z3ta+ / wusikstation would make a right mess though !!!

SIR is the worst. That plug by itself pretty near breaks Tracktion's dropdown list design.Beno wrote:Even some relatively simple VSTs can have 20 or more parameters without breaking a sweat.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

while talking about automation (and im SURE ive asked for this before but - heehee - it doesnt hurt nagging) ... what about a little 'freehand' drawing mode FR for automation curves so i can map in smooth curves with my graphics tablet ...
