My workaround has been to either mute un-needed tracks or solo the needed ones, keeps me going. Still, looking forward to being able to play all tracks simultaneously.

how about clicking on tracks and selecting render, add track, then mute the old tracks

Because I'm using T2 as a multitrack editing platform to comp vocals, guitar solos, etc.. from multiple virtual takes done on my Mackie SDR. When all the editing is done, (on the one project I have going into T2 right now) the tracks will be rendered individually because someone else is mixing it. I need to have all tracks/clips available, I can't distill them down. FWIW, my machine has gobs of horsepower, a dedicated audio data drive, an audio profile with background apps turned off, I'm using absolutely no plugins, and the CPU meter barely gets off zero. Even with the playback problems, it's been a big timesaver for me, but I can't even consider trying to mix with it until I find the root of the problem.
