I just wanted to say thank you to the developers of T2! I've recently moved over from years of Cakewalk and Sonar and the experience has been like getting out of a rotten old car you have tried your best to maintain and then getting into a brand new sports car that almost drives itself.

My laptop now feels like a piece of advanced alien hardware that has accidentally fallen into the hands of a human. I'm suddenly more creative, wanting to spend more time at the machine and I am really really enjoying it. Isn't that what it is all about..?

:D

Hey Jimsey, I recently had the exact same feelings you described so vividly -- only I was making the switch to Live after years of using Acid Pro, with some sidesteps to Cubase and the likes.

I think we've really entered a new phase of sequencing software in 2005, not only the two of us 8) but the music making community as a whole. This holds true of Tracktion 2 and Live 5 alike, I suppose.

James
as a Sonar fan and Tracktion disliker, i'd like to complain, for "rotten" is kind of offensive :P

Just don't expect to be able to do everything you can do with Sonar, or you will be greatly disappointed

For my projects nothing beats Sonar 4.

just did a search on tracktion here at Kvr and I find more bugs with this host croping up than with any other.

Sonar has the least bugs and complaints. here just do a search.

This is a dedicated Tracktion forum. Try the dedicated Sonar/Cubase/Fruity forums and you'll find people there talk far more about Sonar/Cubase/Fruity bugs than they do about Tracktion bugs. Do you think there may be a reason for that?
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

welcomoto jimsey! w00t! if it fits your way of thinking (like many of the loons 'round here), T is a wonderful experience... (and I've got lots of other nice 'underground' hosts.. but T is my hands down favorite) :D. If it's any consolation... I did download the Sonar4 demo again... and just sat there for about 15 minutes... stumped!
