Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to use Tapeit in T2.
I've inserted it in a track, and thought I had recorded something, but when I came to play the wav file back it was silent.
I was confused by the fact that I had to create a file to record to.
Or I have I got the wrong end of the stick completely?

File Handling
You open a file to record to in the top left part of the main page. The light blue display shows the name of the selected file. If no file is selected, the display is empty.

To select a file press the open button.

A file selection box appears. Choose a directory and a name for the file to record to. At the bottom of the window choose the desired attributes of the wave file.

You can choose between 8, 16 and 24 bit integer formats and 32 bit float format. Note that some audio applications cannot read 24 bit and/or 32 bit audio files. If you choose to generate a mono file, both input channels are mixed together into one mono channel. Note that TapeIt uses the current sample rate of your VST hosts to generate the audio file.

Having selected a file, the display shows its name and the button function changes.

Press the close button to stop your recording and close the file.

(assuming youre using the freeware version of tapit ... although both that and the commercial tapeit2 have handy help files)

heehee ... its only a cut-n-paste of one page from the tapeit helpfile and a then screengrab of the page following ...

Rob may just have the largest arsenal of filed, indexed, and databased screengrabs, gifs, and general photoshopped malarkey on the face of the planet[1]. And you should be very scared, because he's not afraid to use it.

[1] a small subterranean tribe of spotted blue wildebeast have a slightly larger collection, but they live six miles under the base of Mt Everest, and they're even wierder looking than Rob, so they don't count.

my new web hosting wont let me host pic's to be streamed to other places (like forums)

only links to them

i knew it was cheap for a reason

Is the webhosting CPanel based?

If so, go to the CPanel, and look for an option called 'Hotlink Protection'. If you have that option, disable it.

just a ftp logon to my skirize folder with a public html folder inside of that

but thanx for the tip

i know the guy that ownes the server & he told me i cant do this because he has "hotlink protection" on his server to save his bandwith (tight sod)

Yeah, without getting into the whole issue of Jesus Vs Darwin, which has quite enough polemic on both sides of the debate, I have to give it to that guy for a great piece of satire, and sheer chutzpah[1]!

I liked it so much, I bought the T-Shirt.
