just wondering..how do you clear out all automation and start from scratch?
I deleted all the points from the curve, but one remained. I hide the automation (unhighliting the A), but I dont think that clears it out either. or doeas it?
when i go to the parameter, it is in green no matter what I do. a bit confusing.

select the curve, and there should be a delete all points from curve command in the properties panel.

You do realise you can't get rid of the line completely? When all points are gone the line should display the current parameter value..

yep..i tried every suggestion on here..Im still in this situation:

look at track 2..there is a dot there that wont go away.
because of this, I can't undo the automation.

Thats before the start of the edit! Does the parameter still show up highlighted, to show there is active automation? (drag the "A" to the plug to see the list).
A pretty sure way to remove automation is to delete the plug its tied to, and re-insert. (save a preset first though

Well, maybe you should send that edit to Beno, or Mackie support: I don't think you should be able to get automation points before the start of the edit.

yeah, i can send him the edit if he wants it..it may be an issue with Guru. I hope the guru-tracktion glitches get ironed out, because they pack an extremely powerful 1-2 punch.

yeah looks like a little buglet that somehow got the automation before time 0. Can you save a copy of the edit and delete all other tracks and all filters except Guru. Then save an archive of the edit and send it to techmail@mackie.com "attention Beno"

im going to have to recreate it..before i saw your post, i noticed that my automation record button was on...what's wierd is it wasn't on in the screen shot..so i turned it off and then double clickign worked..but im going to automate this sub again (or try to) so we will see what happens.
