Loop restarts when moving clips...

Hello Guys.

I've just upgraded to T2. I have looping switched on, and am adjusting the position of clips within the bar.

Each time I move a clip, the cursor returns to the start of the loop. Is there an option to turn this off so the loop plays continuously? It's highly annoying.

If not, can someone put it back to how it was in T1! :)

Anyone?

Can't find it in the manual...

i think thay had to do this for us to have loop audio recording

if you move clips during playback then the playback will always be interrupted. i'm not sure why the cursor is jumping back, but it is certainly a property of Tracktion that it doesn't like to play and move clips at the same time.
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Thanks - that's a shame though. The build of T1 I was using doesn't do this anyway, so perhaps it is to do with loop recording.

Yeah, it may be a bug. I'll look into it a bit. I can't think of any reason why that has to happen so hopefully we can get it sorted before too long. Although, the curent audio engine will skip a bit when moving clips, but the cursor shouldn't jump back.

Cheers for that. It is much better for workflow the other way.

I'm sure I tried that..but will check when I get home :)

Allow me to post here, because I've a problem that is, I think, related.

When the 'return cursor to start position when play stops' is on (and I always use this option), each time you move or stretch a clip, T2 jumps to the cursor position. It didn't happen in T1, and I think it's a very annoying feature (?).

Or is there something I missed ?

Actually, I'm pretty sure this did happen in T1. I remember being annoyed by it then too.
At home, he's a tourist...

Just wanted to let you guys know I duplicated this and added it to our bug list. Not sure if it was in T1 but it should be fixed sooner or later for T2.

Thanks for looking into this. It does only restart the loop when 'return cursor to start position' is checked. The play still stops and glitches with this off though - would be nice if it could play loops smoothly again.
