It's not that complicated, but with EnergyXT you have to think a certain way. It's like applying fundamental principals to a problem.
I only vaguely think this way - NicFit was an expert at it and can make EnergyXT do almost anything he wants with a couple of extra VST midi plug-ins.
I think I have some of his projects somewhere which would make your eyes pop out.

To simplify a little, this is the basic and probably most common principle (like also already mentioned before) of bussing in eXT by the help of eXT-VSTi:

This should get about anyone going
Notice the available output targets .
Since the busses themselves are routed to the Master out the signal flow reaches the Master out finally again and you have the option to add master effects at a single place for mastering (and not to forget the possibilities inside the eXT busses).

Yeah - you can certainly make separate busses like that and it's handy in a way because then you don't have to worry too much about midi channels for automation for your envelope tracks. You just need to pick your target and midi controller value.

I'm sure if I documented my version properly you'd understand it with no problem Greg. I quite often find it difficult to understand something like this from a top-down perspective, but if you see how and why the components join together to get your result I'm sure you'd say it's pretty simplistic.Lunch Money wrote:I understood 10% of page 1 of this thread, and I'm a pretty smart guy.

I have to admit, I'm almost entirely a kinesthetic (hands-on) learner, but a close runner-up is visual. That doesn't mean that written instructions are totally Greek, mind you, but if I have that critical "zone out" moment and lose my ability to visualize what's going on (ie. one tricky concept or unfamiliar terminology in a string of otherwise simple instructions) then the whole thing falls apart.
I've learned plenty just from reading, but for some reason eXT is a beast that's difficult to learn by reading about. You have to do it or at least see it.

Definitely better to do while reading with eXT I reckon...

another try
don't get too excited , it's just a simple graphic .
if all fails check image properties and paste it into a download manager , this should do the trick .

Still no luck but I managed to download it to my desktop. And yeah, that's how I use my groups as well.
