Hi all

i was thinking, it would be cool if you could right click or Ctrl click or something on a parameter inside a vst/vsti & a option came up to auto learn from your midi controller

actually i'd like it in reverse as well. you click on the midi mapping and click instead of a menu, but you can actually click on the filter and move the control. so there could be two options or something. move control on vst.. it would simplify things, to the point of CONSISTENCY ;)

i mean its almost like setting your midi controller by going through a list ;) yknow?

even cooler, you could set up midi controls by just having presets that you could make. like in Buzz, you could just set midi learn on each midi controller, then name it whatever you wanted, then you could pick it on a list. So like i have 4 knobs on my keyboard, you could input them one by one into the midi learn presets, and then select it from a list, or just using the old technique of "please move control", it could auto recognize the knob i programmed :) then you could again, either choose from a list or by literally moving the vst/vsti controls!

Translation:

Midi learn mapping

Midi controls
List | Click here to learn|
---------------------------
Filter Controls
List | Click (drag?) here to learn |

Actually, I think the most consistent way to do it is to make it work exactly like it does for automation. Some kind of icon, that you can drag to a filter and then you see a list of all linkable parameters. Select the item, it pops upa dialog telling you to move a CC, done. This also closely mirrors assigning keyboard commands and is even similar to adding filters.
