I'm interested in buying DubStation but you don't want to supply a demo. That's your choice but don't flame people just because they request it. By calling people with a legitimate request a bunch of whiners you come across as defensive and unjustified.

As for finacially funding KVR. Who do you think spends their money on VST's? Us lot who buy them. Without the customers there would be no VST or KVR and our money would not be available to fund anything.

I will never spend my money on software unless I can test it. Either by demoing it on my PC or in a shop. I don't care how cheap it is. If it's so cheap and wonderful and you're convinced we'll buy it then why not provide a demo?

As for customer recommendations - they are as much use as a spare fart in a perfume factory. What's one persons meat is anothers poison. No disrespect to anyone or their reputations but let each individual test it for themselves rather than flaming people who have requested a demo.

I'm 99% sure you make good products and you've had some good recommendations but are your products right for me? A demo lets me decide this without spending my hard earned cash beforehand.

The most important reason for there to be a demo of software is to test how it works in your system. That is why there should be demos, especially fully-functional but save-disabled so you know what the program can do. And I don't blame anyone for their choice not to buy software without demoing it first, becasue I don't either.

But with the money-back guaruntee, that's just as good as a demo to me as a consumer, practically speaking. Plus, there is a Ronin demo version, is there not, so if this is a subset of that effect's delay function, that's again good enough for me.

I am satisfied, based on the company's good reputation with people whose judgement I trust, with Audio damage's business practices, and will be buying from them as soon as my budget allows new effects purchases. I will buy with complete confidence because of the money-back offer and the business philosophy it reflects.

A little something I did goofing around a few minutes ago; all FX are Audiodamage..Nothing fancy, just a bit of dark ambience, which Audiodamage effects are killer for..

Signal path is:

Cameleon 5000 (no internal fx -> Discord (Murky echos preset) -> DubStation (Midi-Mod preset with delay time modulated by NicFit's LFO plug) -> Deverb (Mr Smoothy preset)

Damaged Goods

Delay time modulation is squeeky clean with no zippering whatsoever..

:D  :D

good stuff, Sickle!
I snapped up Dubstation as soon as it was available. Goes well with ratshack, deverb and discord that I've collected thus far, and though I have spared a fart in a perfume factory before, I too can heartily recommend Dubstation  I am glad that Chris made a demo of Ronin available-- as great as it is, it's got a learning curve steeper than my patience curve...er maybe my glasses are just not thick enough to grok it's statistical density yet. I'll buy it as well eventually, but as far as a go to effect that is transparent enough not to speed bump your creative flow DubStation is it.

If dubstation is just a module excerpted module from Ronin - which has a demo - I can't see what the hell the problem is.

I'm thinking the same thing, having a smaller version handy would have its benefits. I already have Ronin, so don't need the bundle, mind you.

all I know is that i've been wanting a good emulation of an analog delay that changes pitch and a killer tape delay.

I'll be buying this asap!

now....when are you gonna create a authentic tape delay?

One useless thing I should point out that isn't apparent in the absence of a demo:

The knobs on this thing are modeled REALLY f**king cool..the 3D perspective on this effect rocks.
