I have give a chance to user install ArtsAcoustic Reverb into Receptor but it is not supported.

Knowing that SpinaAudio Roomverb M2 also it's not supported, may I suggest that it would be fine that at least one of this jewels be supported in next releases of Receptor OS?

Thanks in advance.

Post

I was able to install and run both demos.

For ArtsAcoustic Reverb you need gdiplus.dll. You can donwload it from here:

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-f ... ml?gdiplus

Copy gdiplus.dll into the windows/system folder from the top of Receptor's hard drive.

What are the symptoms when you try to install these two?

I have downloaded and installed now the dll file you advice me and I have repeeated the installation procedure for both SpinAudio's Roomverb M2 and ArtsAcostic Reverb.

All I can get is the same result when from the GUI I click on install: 1 Failed.

Not sure if it helps but my version of Receptor's OS is 1.3.20050627

Thanks

First of all, just to make sure you put the files in the "Unsupported Plugins" folder, not in the "Drop Installers Here" folder. Correct?

If the above is correct, Arts Acoustic's reverb seems to need just the dll, but Spin Audio's RoomVerb seems to need a bunch of files. This is what I have in the "Spin Audio" folder in the "Unsupported Folder":

airflt.ini
DSPCoreP2.dll
DSPCoreP3.dll
DSPCoreP4.dll
factory.bnk
Help/
materials.ini
midimap.ini
outeqs.ini
RoomVerb2M2.ax
RoomVerb2M2.dll
RoomVerb2M2DX.ini
rvm2.dll
SetupData/
Skins/
spinaudio.url
uninst.exe*
user.bnk

Do you have all this?

Finally, please email support@museresearch.com the file "System Log" from Receptor's "Reports" folder.

I have restarted Rceptor in order to clean its cacheand I have repeated the procedure for Art Acosutic Reverb.

I have copied the dll into my "J:\Program Files\VST Plugins\Unsupported Plugins " folder and following your instructions I have browsed the System Log file and I have discovered that the dll is asking for MSVCP71.dll and MSVCR71.dll so I have copied this new dlls into the system folder and....

VOILA!! works.

It appears Dan that you had this files installed into your Receptor from prior tests.

Knowing that works I think this is a very IMPORTANT news, because this is one of the finest VST reverbs available (if not the best one with SpinAudio's Roomverb M2). So, please update the database with the compatibility report :"Works as user installed".

Thanks Dan.

PD: Now, I will give another chance to Spin Audio...

Well..wait a moment. The Arts Acoustic Reverb demo works, let me check the registered one...

Post

The registerd version does not work. This is what I have guessed:

On Receptor
===========
When the user writes the license code, the plugin shows an alert box saying that is impossible to write the preferences file. You press OK but the software works. But if you unload and later load again the software asks for the license code again. You must note that the official release does not match the demo release of ArtsAcoustic Reverb but I think this is not important by now.

On PC side
===========
When the user register the license of the software, ArtsAcoustic Reverb writes on the following folder its preferences

"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data"

then it writes a folder called "ArtsAcoustic"
which contents itself another folder called "Reverb", which contents a folder with the presets and a Preference.xml file.

This file is completely in ASCII without encription and contents the license code and the paths to the presets folder.

Conclusion
==========
It seems that as is impossible to write on the Document and Settings folder in the Receptor's Hard Drive, so that this mean that is needed a "Receptorized file to install"?

Thanks in advance

Post

There is no "Documents and Settings" folder on Receptor, but you should be able to create one. I suggest you try to create the folder "Documents and Settings" at the top level of the Receptor hard drive, then "All Users" and "Application Data" inside.

Try again, and I hope it will work.

I have made a nice try but not. It seems that there is something more ...(nothin about Windows registry, at least as ArtsAcoutic...)

But I have ssen that ArtsAcosutic is allocated here at KVR Forum, so I have created a thread about this issue. I hope and I wish they contact you as soon as possible.

Thanks Dan

PD: I will try now about Spin Audio.
