just posted my tribute to bob,

i guess i was recording it as the rules changed, but i'm happy with its 2 min 5 sec length and relieved i don't have to sacrifice the excess now :D , plus i'm doing everyone a favour in neither flogging it to death with 4 mins, and reducing the listening time as the month proceeds - as 60 odd entries is not unusual, if we all took four minutes i feel there'd be compromises made when trying to give them all our full attention

regards

OK -- You can have all mine mate! ;)

As much as I owe Bob, me tribute's gonna have to wait. Moving my DAW to another room & it's gonna take me days... :(

This month will be very interesting me thinks...
I'll always be here, regardless of rules. I look forward to some awesome entries this month and send my condolences to those with dial-up. :hihi:

I also send my condolences to Moog's family and those amidst tradgedy along the gulf coast.

I like the idea of a Katrina effort. It's crazy trying to imagine life in New Orleans right now! It seems like getting this idea of the ground would first require a coordinator. I'm willing to help in anyway I can. Perhaps we should form another thread for this. Righto, see ya there!

You know -- Sickle did the Saliga 7 Deadly Sins thing, but I am not sure how to go about it or organize it?

Should someone start a new thread? Who around knows about doing CD cover art and so on?

I reckon we've got amazing talent in here for making & mastering the CD, but is there anyone who knows how to design and print lables on them so we could sell them online, etc.?

Gotta be someone.

Why hasn't Sickle or clueless read this yet?? ;)

I'll be swingin happy to do a big song for our beloved 'Jazz City' -- I am way lame about all the other stuff but I'll do what I can. ;)

No packages, but no guarantee on your dog's follicle modulation. :hihi:

But seriously, help is needed and dire, atm.

I live just outside of Atlanta, and all the gas stations are out. Eyeing my bike more closely now, but it would be a vast change. Maybe for the better, but just the fact that something hundreds of miles away is affecting me heavily here is a scary reality. How fragile our "neo-ecosystem" is?? I find solace here at Kvr and also see the potential for others here to feed communities, in one way or another.

So far, this month's offerings are great flagstones of a fruitful month.

Someone gave me a free Micromoog a few years ago. This thing not only doesn't have stable tuning, it's not even close to being in tune with itself. The notes you get as you move along the keyboard are all pretty much random.

The noise mode and filters work; maybe I'll fit that in somehow.

Does the pitch jump around chaotically, sounding like the Glide (portamento) is activating by itself, or the pitch going up and down as you hold one note? Those are all symptoms of dirty keyboard contacts and are relatively easy to fix on these old machines. My Minimoog was notorious for that (especially whe the former owner had it; he smoked and didn't clean the contacts ever).

Or you could just have a really poorly tuned machine that needs to go to the doctor . . . if you can find someone with the knowledge and patience to do a real tune up.

Calling Patrick9 -- Hahahaha. I was waiting for a 'popcorn' cover, but this is even better. Love it :D

Good effort.
