*I got a strange email that told me if I didn't contribute to a Katrina Vurtual Relief CD I'd get a lil' package in the mail wot goes 'tick tock tick tock' and my dog would turn pink!
Someone gave me a free Micromoog a few years ago. This thing not only doesn't have stable tuning, it's not even close to being in tune with itself. The notes you get as you move along the keyboard are all pretty much random. You™ wrote:I also have two pieces of Moog analog hardware I'm going to try to play my pirate song on... Unfortunately neither has stable tuning.
Does the pitch jump around chaotically, sounding like the Glide (portamento) is activating by itself, or the pitch going up and down as you hold one note? Those are all symptoms of dirty keyboard contacts and are relatively easy to fix on these old machines. My Minimoog was notorious for that (especially whe the former owner had it; he smoked and didn't clean the contacts ever).gumbo wrote:...The notes you get as you move along the keyboard are all pretty much random.
