If not is there any chance that you could post some clips of non-80s metal sounds?

:)

Come on,

name ONE 80ies metal band that sounded like that. No REAL heavy band played these lousy blues riffs and called it metal or even turned down that volume knob on da guitar! It was a switch: ON or OFF!!! Only a few people played this strange Vai stuph and even with a metal tone. (Did Steve Vai do something else since? Dunno. Was way cool back then. :band: )
It was cool to have poor sounding modded marshalls and the beenies were full cranked MkIII's or a Soldano!!! "Yeah, turn da gain knob to 12!" And then the "V" on the graphic EQ. And then it sounded like ... eighties metal. And then some Paganini. You know you wanted some. Gimme those Bach-arps 16th tripplets at 230 bpm. Yeah. Dive bomb. Tapping. Wheeeeeeeehhhh. Where's Eddie?

That's it how I lived with metal in the eighties. Maybe your milage varies.

Have fun, FRitz

that amp is doing more of a blusey crunch sound than 80s metal. I do like the way it ranges from clean ---> overdriven with the volume knob.

I would like to hear more types of sounds than the examples tho.

really nice new tones from your amp!

the click-sound from that guitars pickup-switch at 0:10 (Amp Response demo3) sounded also very authentic ;-)

Well as long as we are talking metal......could you post a sample of some drop tuned heavy chunk riffs? I'd love to hear how the palm mutes respond.
