i just tried out filterscape va and am blown away... it is just what i have been looking for. unfortunately i cannot seem to get the vst version of zebra to work on my mac and cubase sl3. i really would like to know how they compare before i start buying... besides the arpeggiator!
if anyone has a tip how to get zebra working i'd love to know. i have put all the bits in the right places as per the read me's but... no luck. i have also read about a possible 2.0... is that coming up?

Why not get both? They should compliment eachother pretty well I should think. I got Filterscape not only because I'm on pc and Zebra isn't - yet - but also because Filterscape blew me away. I'm not entirely sure how much of FilterscapeVA will be re-used in the Zebra2 architecture, but I'm saving pennies for the Zebra2 release!

Sorry... I just *had* to take a little vacation.
Specialpop, I'd recommend checking out Zebra 2 for VST, when it's due. Unfortunately the ZebraShell wrapper (it's a VSTi that loads the AU in a VST host) never worked as reliable in every situation as I hoped it would, so the current development is also related to providing proper VST support. Z2 is work in progress, but it already works fine as AU, VST Mac & PC.
And yes, FilterscapeVA and Z2 have pretty different character. Filters are different, oscillators are different, simply about everything. Z2 however will get a souped up arpeggiator.
Stay tuned.
