How about that:
As an Amplitube1/GuitarRig/Trash owner you will get a nice discount price.
(after prove of ownership)
Just an idea !?
As Sascha Franck said that won't solve the dilema but it's OK.
If Amplitube2 comes out first I will upgrade (assuming I will like it), then if your amp will have something more and beyond to offer I will get it as well.
I really don't care about the money, just sound.

Actually providing a crappy recorded dry sound with the low z input would be fine. We are not all going through direct boxes with awesome guitars. I'll post the mp3 of the dry signal I used yesterday before the GSuite plugs. If you can duplicate the same with this ampsim, that would be cool. It would also show an example of not so ideal guitar through your ampsim.

OK, here's the two versions:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInf ... ID=2829160 - Dry
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInf ... ID=2825695 - GSuite
Feel free to run the dry track through your ampsim to compare. This would be an example of how just the guitar sounds in the track. Use one track like I did. I know Dimitar's examples are using multiple tracks, but I really wanted to hear just one guitar track, no over dubs or layering or drums, bass, etc. Just wanted the amp sound so I can hear it clearly.

There is some clipping in the dry track, but it is in both. i have the input gain turned down all the way on my tascam US428 and this is what I get with my crappy guitar.

I'll try to record some tracks!
Midiworks, does the offer still stand, for mp3 providers?
Regards,
Heeb.

Heeb.
I do not have 4-5 vintage guitars with custom electronics ($3000-$10,000 each) used in this recording.
I also do not have the room let alone the sound proof room to record these in.
I also do not have the mirage of microphones and mic preamps they used to record these. (range between $300-$2000 each)
I also do not have the 3 butique amplifiers used here. ($3000, $4000 and an esstimated $10,000 cause you can't really buy it)
Did I mention the several different cabs they were using, price..... who cares I don't have it anyway.
Anyway as I said, even though it sounds cool it will not work for me.

Not bad. IMO just as good anything else.Wormhelmet wrote:OK, here's the two versions:

Lacking some low end tightness nonetheless - but then, as said, all those demos do (and that actually includes dimitars).
Sorry, can't help it. But then, I do know what Rectifiers sound like, and apparently their price is justified. I haven't heard a single demo coming from a simulation even getting close.
But maybe that's just what things are like...

I dont understand, there is no reason for that...
Tightness, I do undertand, even very well but rather overall on cords.
I even have a tightness knob in the engine but its still too lose at times.
Dont you maybe confuse the sound of a real rectifire,
comming out of the real mesa speaker, with the sound of your monitors ?
Just a thought...

I'm with Midiworks on this one, sure a Boogie has a huge low end at the right settings (they're extremely versatile amps, and it's a shame people almost think of them exclusively as metal amps) but that's not what you hear on records. If you didn't EQ that low end out of the recordings you'd loose your bass and kick drums instantly. There's a big difference between a live sound and a recorded sound, and no software amp sim should strive or could possibly even achieve the former, just because you're not going to be listening through a double 4x12 stack or anything, you're going to be listening through monitors. So far, I'm pretty impressed by the examples Midiworks has posted, I just wish he'd release this already. I don't care about extra features like FX's etc, that's all bullshit, just give us some good amps, cabs, and a few mic placement options (preferably multiple mic options on a single cab, as I never mic a guitar amp with just one mic, what is it 1970?) and I'd be happy as hell.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

No, I don't confuse that sound, as the actual Rectifier sounds would come out of my speakers as well.
It's that serious "tack" or "chuck" sound when dampening strings on distorted settings. And yes, this is even noticeable on less overdriven sounds. You could call it the "sound of moved air" only being produced and captured by actual amp/mic combinations. As said, I've never heard any such a thing from a simulation.
Btw, I'm not talking about lack of low end but about lack of tightness in those low areas.

Funkybot, as said, it's NOT about the low end amount but about the amp response in lower registers!

K, I know what you're talking about, and yeah that's a point I'll probably concede to you, I've never heard an amp sim push air either, although in all honesty I still don't know how one would even model that.
Funny aside on a similar note, I just did a recording where I used a Guitarport for all the guitar tracks, then went back in once I had everything down and replaced them by mic'ing up my Fender Twin, and while the sounds of the first are arguably better (Guitarport does a better Marshall than my Twin does, and a Marshall type sound worked better for some of these tracks) the track just came alive with the mic'd sounds. So yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about.
