This MP3 demo of the Marching band horn for EVE uses 2 different presets, one in the first part and another one in the second part. The drums are the Acoustic Vintage Jazz kit with the Fusion pattern from the DK+.

I like the lower horn. The trumpet-like horn sounded a bit synth-brass to me, but then I like synth-brass.

Thanks for your comments.
- The range of the marching band horn is a little lower than a trumpet and a little higher than a trombone. The programs are usually mapped from C0 to C6, but it is when played from G1 to C4 that it sounds pretty much like the real performance. The higher notes heard in the mp3 are a bit higher than the natural range of the MBH.
- Only one preset is used at once in the mp3. So the lower and the higher (trumpet like) horn are the same. In the first part (lenghtwise) there's one preset and the second preset is used in the second part (lenghtwise).
- Some samples are slightly processed so even if they all do sound pretty close to the original horn, some do not exactly sound like it.
Also I would like to remind everyone that there's a free downloadable demo soundset on our Free Sounds page HERE
I should post more MP3s soon.
Here's some more info about the set and the MP3:dougsyo wrote:I like the lower horn. The trumpet-like horn sounded a bit synth-brass to me, but then I like synth-brass.

Here's a short realtime impro with the patch "Brass Strings 1". This patch layers one Horn waveform with EVE's factory waveform "Mellotron Strings A".

Heres a piece from me that uses the new Zvon horns:
LOTR Tribute
http://www.wusik.com/song.php?id=887
about 2MB's MP3 format
A Tribute to the music of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings Trilogy
from melodies
by Howard Shore.
Just some TECH NOTES:
Started with an excellent string sound from a new sample set for
WusikStation coming
out called TSW Expansion ( from BITR)Got really inspired by this
string sound and
went for it.
Layed a VOX'D preset ( WusikStation again)for the steel string and
vocal layer.Used
Tracktions automation to bring it in and out.
The flute is from EVE's Mellotronix set..great flute sound!
The trumpet is from ZVON Horns for EVE. I did
some presets.
ZVON Horns!!( BYW: Scott Solida really liked that horn sound!)
ENJOY!
