Receptor CPU Glitches/spikes

Good Afternoon all, I'm a new muse research owner, (just had mine delivered over the weekend). I'm very concerned because I see the CPU level reaching for max when I load some of the multis. Sometimes the sound actually cuts out. It even shows considerable CPU activity when a sample is loaded and I'm not even playing. Could anyone please tell me wether this is normal behaviour? I don't think the samples I loaded were particularly CPU hungry, (e4piano with some reverb.) but I'm observing high CPU usage levels.
Many thanks all.

well..I am not a muser, just a user, but it depends on how many plugs you got going, and also how much ram you got in your machine. If you are working with samples a lot, its recomemnded to upgrade the RAM.
However for noramal synth plugins, I can usually get 3 or 4 in a multi without the CPU going crazy. It all depends on what plugins you are using. You have to be selective.

Thanks guys, I tried setting the sample buffer size to 256 and it improved things a little But not greatly. I know having more RAM is advisable, so I'll aim to get some more, I'm hoping this combined with better sample buffer size would improve things drastically. If not, I wonder how receptor would cope with things like Kontakt 2?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

If you still have problems call or email customer support. We could compare what the CPU gauge shows for specific patches on your Receptor and on one of ours. This way we could determine if there is something wrong with your unit or if you expect more than what Receptor can do.
