OK, you say I misunderstood you. Sorry for that.
And exactly that is THE problem. I don't REALLY like ANY amp sim out there. I didn't get a 100% satisfying sound out of one of them. I'm not into comparing amp sims here. I want a great guitar sound and for THAT good tube amps are the mark where everything else looks either wimpy or has "some" qualities.Midiworks wrote: Fritz, I invite you to take the dry tracks of the Amp Response demo,
to use it with ANY amp sim you like and post it here !
I agree tho, that it always can get better.![]()
I tried most amp sims that are available and none of them does exactly what a good tube amp does.
For the rest, Sascha said it in many well chosen words.
I built and modded tube amps for years and I know how hard it is to get REALLY what you want. Even with the real thing. This is the reason why even most tube amps don't sound as good as a Rectifier, a Bogner or a Diezel. It's hard to be 100% satisfied when you know the real deal and do hear and feel the differences when playing guitar.
I don't want to bother with this thing anymore until I can have it available for my use. Then we'll see if your abilities and taste do suit my taste and my quality standard (which is high enough for a tube amp itself) for a 100% satisfying tube amp stack replacement inside of my computer.
Best wishes, FRitz
