I am not the developer myself but I know about it (and have an early version). Reverb lovers will really like it for its particular "high end" depth, richness and character. To me it is exactly what it is called: a CLASSIC STUDIO REVERB. Picture what sort of reverbs are in high end studios and this is a virtual version plus some extra bonus stuff such as a highly programmable mode with matrix modulation. It is pretty deep yet simple to use at the same time (two modes).

I can't compare with the one you mentioned because I don't have it. But, I do have a bunch of other reverbs that I like and CSR is just a nice addition. It is pretty good on the CPU although I would have to try the final version to judge fully. Considering how great it sounds the CPU usage is very impressive.

A lot of the new IK effects products to me are very "collectible", much in the way I used to collect hardware gear. What I mean by that is that we may all have a reverb already or even some guitar effects... but if you want the sound of AmpliTube 2, Ampeg SVX and CSR (which is to say you want the sound of some vintage and classic studio and live gear- with excellent emulation of important characteristics that make that hardware so appealing) then you pick that up to add to your collection, your "set up" of possibilities. Now, that is what some people who are really into this stuff at a semi-pro to pro level. But, for others that are only going to get one reverb or one guitar effects solution then it is just a matter of waiting for these products if they think that they may be the best one for the money. I think they are personally. If I had to pick one reverb to have in my virtual studio it would be CSR and for guitar and bass it would be AT2 and Ampeg. That's not just because I get them for free (it is good to be the Squid! ;) ). But, because they have the character I want the most for music production.

Too bad you do not know Artacoustic Reverb, it has become my point of reference, when it comes to reverbs nowadays, but it sounds good that the cpu consumption is small in CSR, the test computer you tested it on what was that, and how many % cpu does it use on it, if you could be so kind to let me know, I could of course wait for the demo, but I am a bit currious. :)
