What advert at the Auditorium are you refering to?scuzzphut wrote:
neither do I
I was looking at it from a purely practical point of view, which meant that I didn't see the "free advertising" angle until you pointed it out.
HOSTING ADVICE ... might be useful ...

I think he meant the free advertising for you by having people have to go there instead of leeching with a deep-link.Spe3D wrote:What advert at the Auditorium are you refering to?scuzzphut wrote:

Isn't that what Sepheritoh meant? I thought it was.

But advertising what? Songs to download without restrictions? Can upload without paying? Where is the problem in posting a link to a thread where nothing gets in the way for the visitor?
Wtf is wrong with some people – I just don’t understand – really
I am not bothering with this thread any longer and I am certainly not going to fight over ‘free hosting of files for a k-v-r comp.’
Have fun guys
Peter

Spe3d - why do you think you're being attacked?
Personally, I'm defending your choice to have people go to your site instead of deep-linking.
It means Audioshots/The Auditorium gets free advertising each time someone goes there.
Why is that an attack?
(I thought that was the reason for not allowing deep-links in the first place.)

20Mb Free Space, so long as you dialup for 3hours every three months [rolling program], or a small fee and you can access w/o dialup.
A few people use it here, infact I found out about it from here. No Bandwidth issues, good service, I have about 5 tracks up, plug a number of BetaBugsBetas..
If I didn't already have this setup (with some other space as well), I would have used Audioshots, since I appreciate the service offered - but there's no point being greedy!

I wasn't criticising, Peter.
It just took me a while to see why you prefer to direct people to your site than to allow deep linking.
Don't have a hairy fit , man !
