Punch : a little idea.

I just had an idea today while recording. Perhaps it's already part of the feature requests, or has already been discussed, all apologies if that's the case.

The idea is : when using 'punch' to record, say, 2 measures, most of the time you set the mark in/out markers a few ms before/after the measures, which means you have to disable the 'snap' if it was activated. The idea would be to have an option that would automatically record X ms before/after the markers. But these one would put exactly at the beginning/end of the measure. The X parameters could be of course edited.

I think it would be really useful. At least I would use it.

afaik tracktion already records a little bit before and after the punch points. look around in the settings page, i think it lets you specify exactly how much.

hmmm, you're right i can't seem to find it now. i could have sworn it was there though...
