I have a problem rendering MrRay 73 in Tracktion. Since the plug-in is great I would love to have it work. First I thought it was the (in)famous first note drop bug, but I have tried the drop fix plugin etc without luck...

Basically, when I render it the first half a second is quiet. A workaround is to paste a new midiclip and merge it with the MrRay midiclip to have a bar or two free in the beginning. But I don´t like workarounds like that...

Is there anyone running Tracktion that can render MrRay 73 without this problem?

try starting from bar 2 insted of bar one, (EG: select a midi clip use Ctrl + A to select all, then move them all up 1 bar then try again)

Here´s whats going on...

The first example is the basic problem what I would like to work, and believe should work...

In the second example I tried what i think you meant

And the third one the only workaround I found out to work, but don´t like...

Anyone have an idea?

Anyone???

I´m also interested in knowing if anyone runs MrRay 73 with Tracktion without having this problem...

I do it the second way to resolve dropped note issues. Not sure why it didn't work for you.

yeah, i'm running mrray 73 and am NOT having the problem. using the latest version of tracktion. don't know what to tell you.

does it happen with every clip or just the first one? i mean, if you copy the same clip and paste it later in the song (with significant space between the two), is the second one also missing the first half second?

i know mrray doesn't have program changes, but this happens sometimes with other plugs when you do a program change. it sometimes takes the vst a second to load the change, resulting in a hiccup in the rendered audio. maybe there's something similar with mrray going on in your setup. i assume you've messed around with any option in the settings that looks like it might have an effect?

Thanks for your comments!

Yes, it happens only with the first clip. I use the latest T2 version and I have also tried removing program changes etc...

This is the only thing close to my problem I have come across here on Kvr http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=96620

Looks like it could be a MrRay problem, but as it seems some of you can use it fine with Tracktion I wonder what could be causing this...

well, don't know what to tell you. maybe get in touch with mrray's dev and let him know what's up.

it sucks when you get a sweet vst and are using it fine then some problem pops up. groove agent is glitchy with certain kits for me in tracktion, and that one wasn't free like mrray. so i feel your frustration.

Yep, sounds like the exact same problem I had in FL. Apparently the Imagline guys must have run across this issue and added the option to not reset the plugin at the start of play.
