T2-->Mackie HDR WAV Import Problem - Workaround?

Hi All -

Tracktion creates wav files that can't be imported and opened by Mackie HDRs. I get the 'Error 50' box.

Maybe they are working on fixing this, but in the meantime I need to figure out the least expensive way to get my T2 tracks to my HDR.

A fellow HDR user said in another post at the Mackie HDR forum that he was able to import Tracktion wavs into a couple DAW programs and re-save them. The re-saved wavs were then recognizable by the HDR and imported fine after that.

Keeping the integrity of the original wave is of course important but if it looses it's broadcast wav timestamp in the conversion that's ok.

Maybe there is a simple app that does only this?
Maybe an inexpensive or free daw app?

Anyways, any suggestions are much appreciated.

All Set Folks -

Got the app 'Audacity' suggested by the same fellow HDR user and it works so I am all set for now.

Looking forward to Mackie resolving this issue, and hopefully giving us T/HDR users a super cool T to HDR app in a future release-!! HDR to T workes pretty good already~! 8)

Glad to hear you found a solution.. I don't think there are that many HDR users here.. (yet!)

For me, the fire-wire dock T-2 and the HDR are a perfect combo

Maybe a little better than the ol' ORB drive?

Good to see you over here Chance -
I totally agree with you 8)

Oh man, remember that thing? It was a good idea, but bad R&D. The last ORB drive I built was their latest which held I believe double of what the original did. I just realized that I have a couple of projects on ORB media and I don't have an ORB drive anymore.
