OK. That was NOT easy. There is NOTHING between the lines - and whatever is supposed to be there I CANNOT possibly read when watching the sky (which is clouded and dark and not much fun). So the base line is: There where some wankers and some other wankers and they're gonna cool of this month so that we can all be wankers again next month - right?

Synthasy2000 I am having problems downloading your track, is the link correct or is the problem with me? It may be the brackets in the link confusing things.

Marc JX8P thanks for the review. Having listened back to the track after a break of a few days I think perhaps you are right and it is slightly reverb heavy. Oh well last month's didn't have enough and maybe this months entry has too much so maybe next month I will be in the middle somewhere

Awesome! This song is totally lacking in any obvious structure yet still sounds like a cohesive unit rather than random sections glued together which is very difficult to acheive. Really well done.
Thanks, mate! :D

petrudamsa, your song isn't direct-linked. Soundclick doesn't allow me to download your song. Do you need it hosted? PM me if you do.

Bearded One - Mood For Bob Moog

Love the laid back relaxed ambient feel to this and the theremin lead
Thanks Caco! :D The Theremin is DiscoDSP's Phantom.

Cheers,

Sepheritoe - Shadows in Our Minds

I really didn't want to be negative about this song as i do really like it and think it is really powerful and would make a fantastic film score but to me the change at 1.17 just doesn't sound right and the electric guitar at the two minute mark really doesn't fit the track. Apart from that though I am a fan of this track so if I am being critical I apologise but its because I can hear how good it could potentially be with a few tweaks.

------------------------------------------------
Much appreciated. I do not think you were negative, and I really do not mind about constructive criticism. I know about the timing on the acoustic guitar being out and the electric a bit out of tune. The dip I had in my original post was a bit of a tongue in cheek dip at the predictability of some of the reviews last month when the first one said I did not follow the theme and then everybody else just copy and paste that review. All that while I still believe that I was the only one actually following the instructions from the moderator   . Anyway I'll get over it. Glad you see some potential in this track and I really think I should redo parts of it when the contest is over - oh, this is not even a contest, so what the........ shit maybe I misunderstood again. I'll probably get dq'd because of some other thing anyway (are banned members allowed to submit for the contest?)

I don't mean anything, I was just quoting the interview I linked to . . . not my fault!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeew! Cat and sheep guts! Yuck!

He he he! Did anyone see the interview with Klaus Schulze in . . . I think it was in September's Future Music. He said something like (not his real words here, I'm pulling this out of me faulty memory): "...in the 1970's you had a lot of musicians who were using synthesizers wrong by trying to make them sound like other instruments. Like Keith Emerson." :hihi:

It was actually a very good interview.

Thx oddbots!! Laughed about your review.. I didn't want to be disrespectful, in some cultures it's habit to do something happy when someone's gone (though not in germany :( ), so :P
Liked your sort of disrespectful (no, not really!) reviews! Will review when I've found the right words, collecting them right now, keep it going!
