Even though I have never added automation to my volume pan filters, mysteriously they appear to be automated on each new edit, for only a few select initial tracks.
I don't know if this is a bug or what and it's not a big deal as I can simply turn automation off each time I start Tracktion but sometimes I forget to... so I have tried to remove the automation curves for volume/pan filters but can't - when I right-click other filters I can remove automation from a menu, but with volume/pan filters when I right-click I do not get a menu.
Is there a simple way to remove the automation from a volume/pan filter?
Thanks - s

There is a bug whereby if you have deleted a region, some automation curves strangely appear. If your new edit is based on an old edit, I suggest starting over again with a completely fresh project as your new edit.
In the meantime, it SHOULD appear in a menu. Make sure you're clicking the filter when it's a hand (hover over a non-active part of the plug, like near the border) and not a double-arrow. If that doesn't work, when you click the wee "A" button in the top right of the edit lane , a menu appears that will include all automatable parameters for the entire track. If I'm not mistaken, the volume/pan should be in that first menu, highlighted in a different colour to show that it's active. If it's not in that first menu, you might have to go to "active parameter curves>>>" sub-menu to find it.

That was it! I never noticed the hand when at the corners.Lunch Money wrote:In the meantime, it SHOULD appear in a menu. Make sure you're clicking the filter when it's a hand (hover over a non-active part of the plug, like near the border) Greg
