Find yourself a mouse with a side or thumb button and configure it to ctrl. Best thing I ever done, one handed ctrl-click drag, ctrl-scroll etc. Wonderful.

How about the wheel button? I have a standard Microslop optical mouse with a tail (wire). I've never configured mouse buttons before. Do you do it in Windows or do you need to use a driver specifically for the mouse you have?
