Hello. Sorry to just drop in like this, but I'm seriously considering purchasing Tracktion 2 and there's something I would really like to know.
I plan to use outboard compressors and EQ for some of my processing, and would like to know about latency compensation. Does Tracktion have anything like that, or is it at least possible to nudge tracks manually to get them to line up? The idea would be to take already recorded (in some cases, already submixed) tracks to outboard gear and then loop back into the box. Naturally, the new tracks will have to be made to line up somehow.
This would also apply to preprocessing softsynths in the analog domain. For example, I plan to use software samplers for some of my sound sources, in addition to external synths. In some cases, I may want to loop the output of a softsynth out into analog space for processing (an electric piano through a wah pedal is a good example) and then back into Tracktion. Does Tracktion allow for this, or at least can it be done? My main worry is latency between the output of the softsynth and the monitoring chain which might cause my playing to be off.
Sorry for the long-winded first post, but I like to gather information before making purchasing decisions. Thank you for your time.

I've done this with my M-Audio Delta 44 and my Behringer V-Amps to process guitar and bass samples, it works fine (on my system) after a bit of fiddling around with offsets.
But like the man said, try the demo - everyones system is different!
